Las Vegas has ranked high in a survey measuring the best places for singles to mingle both online and in person.
Financial website WalletHub compared over 180 US cities across 35 key dating indicators, including how much of the population is single and how many nightlife options are available per capita.
Other factors included beauty salon costs and the price of rent for a one-bedroom apartment.
Vegas came in at a pretty impressive 24th place, helped along the way by ranking 2nd for “most nightlife options” and 3rd for “fun and recreation.”
Its economic ranking came in at 117, while it placed 156 for the number of dating opportunities available. Foursquare names Encore Beach Club, Omnia Nightclub, Velveteen Rabbit, Golden Tiki, and the Skyfall Lounge as some of the very best venues for singles in Las Vegas.
Henderson, however, came in all the way down at 148th with North Las Vegas doing even worse and ranking in 154th place.
In fact, in the whole of Nevada, Reno was ranked as the best for singles in 22nd place.
However, while a huge 45% of its population is unmarried, Reno lacks in budget-friendly dating options. According to WalletHub, the average date costs $102.
Atlanta was chosen as the best place for singles in the US, ranking highly for the number of fun and recreational activities available and the number of dating opportunities.
The second most popular was named Denver, with San Francisco, San Diego, Portland, Chicago, and Los Angeles following closely behind. Madison came in 8th place with a 2nd place ranking for dating opportunities, followed by Seattle, which scored 7th in the fun and recreational activities section.
When it comes to the very worst places on the list, Pearl City is all the way down there at 182 and failed to score highly in any key indicators. Pembrook Pines and Glendale were both only just in front, ranking 182 and 176 respectively for dating opportunities.
A few key statistics emerged from the data: the average cost of a restaurant meal in New York is three times greater than in Aurora, Colorado, and the average price for a bottle of wine in Atlanta is four times greater than in Indianapolis.
The greatest number of online dating opportunities in the US is in Gilbert, Ariz., which is double the amount that Detroit has to offer. Las Vegas has 22 times more nightlife attractions than Hialeah, which was ranked the lowest, while Detroit has twice the number of singletons that Fremont has.

In another recent WalletHub survey, Vegas was marked in 5th place for being one of the best places for Halloween in the USA. Helping the ranking was a 2nd-place finish in the “Most Costume Stores Per Capita” category, and a 4th place ranking for “Most Candy and Chocolate Stores per Capita.”
At the bottom of the list were Baton Rouge, Memphis, and Birmingham, Alabama.
