The Venetian is Taking Reservations
The Venetian Resort expects to open its doors to guests soon and will begin accepting reservations for the hotel beginning June 1. The Venetian will book the tower first for hotel reservations, followed by the Palazzo. The restaurants, casino, and pool deck will also be open.
The Venetian Releases its Reopening Statement
At the end of April, the Venetian Resort released the details for its reopening, including the launch of more than 800 initiatives in response to COVID-19, including offering masks to guests, conducting temperature checks at the entrances and maintaining social distancing of at least six feet throughout the casino.
The Venetian Resort recently released a statement concerning the determination to begin accepting reservations:
“The Venetian Resort will begin taking reservations for guests arriving beginning June 1, when we anticipate opening once again to the public. As we foresee opening in phases, the Venetian tower will be available for reservations first and the Palazzo tower will follow later.
We will continue to follow the guidance given by federal, state, and local officials including the Centers For Disease Control and Prevention, Southern Nevada Health District and the Nevada Gaming Control Board. Once we open, our guests can be treated to all of the amenities of a luxury Las Vegas resort including more than a dozen restaurants, a full-service casino, multiple retail outlets, and our completely renovated Venetian pool deck.
In consideration of the COVID-19 situation, we have launched Venetian Clean, representing our commitment to over 800 separate goals to enhance safety and reduce the risk for our guests and team members. Moreover, as we prepare for reopening, we will perform COVID-19 testing on every Venetian team member over two-weeks to ensure our workers are ready to serve our guests.
To further our robust community response initiatives, The Venetian Resort Las Vegas has announced Share the LOVE, a program to donate thousands of free stays to frontline workers and first responders fighting against the COVID-19 pandemic. For every night booked through the Share the LOVE program, the Venetian Resort will donate a free night to a first responder or frontline worker. It’s our way of saying thank you to those on the front lines battling the coronavirus pandemic. The Venetian has pledged to donate up to 50,000 nights at the resort through this program. “
Visitors to Vegas are Eager for the Reopening
Florida resident Ken Susterka commented, “Whatever they need do to help people feel more comfortable, especially at the beginning, to restart the economy and get people into the hotels and the casinos, I think it’s a good thing. Then go slowly from there. But I absolutely think it’s time to reopen Vegas.”
However, despite the Venetian’s announcement, Governor Sisolak and the Gaming Control Board have not yet announced a firm date for when casinos can reopen.
